3D PRINTING, 3D SCANNING, PROTOTYPING & LASER CUTTING. ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Hello, my name is Daniel Brown (B.Eng Mechanical/Aerospace, University of Adelaide, 2009. LinkedIn) and I wish to bring personal fabrication technology to a wider audience with my professional-grade, affordable 3D printing, 3D scanning, laser cutting, architecture model making and design engineering consultancy. Complex, multi-part original designs are my specialty and with over 11 years experience as a full-time additive manufacturing design engineer, I can handle just about all of your 3D Printing, 3D scanning and reverse engineering requests. I manage all consultations and business operations while working with a team of associates from different backgrounds and industries to provide a wide range of professional services.

Based in Adelaide but supplying all across the country and internationally, together we offer a wide variety of 3D services for individuals, engineers, architects, schools, cosplayers, film & TV, inventors, artists and countless other professions. We pride ourselves on speed and quality, upping the standard in ‘rapid’ prototyping. Jobs requested, completed and delivered within a single day are normal business around here. We also act as a supplier for industrial grade SLA resin, SLS, Polyjet and metal 3D prints with an ability to negotiate significant discounts. As of November 2024, I have solved the prototyping and model making needs for over 2400 unique customers with over 50,000 hours combined printing time across my machines. My website is full of photos and examples, so please look around and check out the gallery.

I offer a unique and personal service with my work which includes me traveling to you to give free personal, professional consultations and delivery of parts myself. With an array of 3D printers, we can print user-created files with rapid turnaround and offer all sorts of materials, colours, finishes and budget options. Our team offers mechanical and organic CAD modelling, 3D scanning and can provide same day turnarounds for urgent jobs at no extra cost with advanced post-processing and silicone molding available for specialist applications. We work with product developers, toolmakers and manufacturers to bring inventions to market. To round out the whole process, I can write preliminary patents with all of the required details, figures and claims.

I am a leading Australian subject matter expert in 3D printing, I have hosted multiple seminars and workshops on the technology where I bring my incredibly wide range of experiences with hobby to consumer to industrial grade machines with over 55,000 total print hours across my machines. I work with you to make sure we create a part that suits your needs and guarantee they will be fit for purpose. Every job is a consultation to me as I discuss with the customer exactly what processes will be used and surface finish attainable.

I have written a guide to teach people about the basics of 3D printing which will allow you to understand the terminology I will use when discussing custom engineered jobs. It is not essential knowledge but is a quick and easy introduction to the capabilities of the printers I use. Case Studies provides an insight into some of the more elaborate jobs we work on, please check it out if you wish to learn about some novel applications of 3D printing done locally. I have a broad experience in designing, building and repairing FDM 3D printers and can come to your site to troubleshoot and repair machines

When it comes to the physical 3D printing, we have more than 10 3D printers between myself and my colleagues from all sorts of manufacturers such that we can handle almost anything involving 3D printing of plastics. We are capable of printing from a massive range of experimental 3D printing plastics to push the boundaries of the technology. Laser cutting wood and acrylic is available which we can offer design services for and is a fantastic tool for architectural model making.

Our services empower you to quickly and easily test the form, fit and function of prototypes or we can design large elaborate props and models, all at very affordable prices due to minimisation of overheads. Our sample and warranties set a new standard in this industry as we can print low-density samples for free (dependent on size) and parts are 100% money-back guaranteed to be fit for purpose. We don’t merely print files ‘as-is’, we delve into the printer toolpath and check for any issues which might appear in your final part such as wall thickness issues as standard practice. Our group can invent new components and liaise with overseas manufacturers for mass production. We have a variety of commercial experience and are very competent at 3D modelling for printing. Please check out this website and contact me to see if we can help design and 3D print for you.

Laser Cutting
Modifications
Up to $150 discount on all qualifying jobs, once per prototype. Offer does not apply to multiple copies of the same file.

Are you a student? Students automatically get a 30% discount on all 3d print parts for university, tafe or school projects. In addition, when you design a prototype and find that you made a few mistakes that meant the prototype couldn’t function, I give 50% off for immediate re-prints for short notice one-off modifications. Please see here for more details.

I offer my services as a 3D printing supplier for Australia, just like many international 3D printing marketplaces. If you happen to find a 3D model of a part online which you want printed yourself, simply tell me where you found it and I can print and deliver it to you. Check out sites like www.thingiverse.com for a huge range of 3D parts I can print for you. Contact us here!
