This is just a quick gallery dedicated to my latest prop made for myself, the clawshot from the Legend of Zelda games. It has been almost 2 years since I have been able to actually make a cosplay prop for myself and I have wanted to make this for a long time. I rushed fairly hard over 2 weeks to get it all finished. I made it mostly able to be disassembled so I can re-make some parts and repaint others after this prop is used for a cosplay by me personally.
The claws are actually spring loaded and spring into their locking position. A ring pull inside them pulls them out. This piece was entirely designed from scratch by me and I am willing to share some of the design plans with people. Given that it uses a certain type of spring, this design will not work unless you have the exact same type. There are 2 files that would be required to be changed to accommodate different types of springs.
